best friend

miss katie johnson. oh where to begin?

we met in 8th grade math class. i was sitting next to a cute boy and she sat behind him. we both liked him. at first i would get annoyed when she kept interrupting our conversations. then she was in the play in 9th grade "Li'l Abner". She was the same part as my other best friend Carly - the incredible Moonbeam McSwine. They had to share the most ridiculous green dress.

She and Carly became best friends and Carly wanted Katie and I to become friends too, so we could all hang out. From there its history. I can't really remember how or when we became best friends, we just did. She has always been a permanent part of all my favorite Jr High, High School memories. Now we are going on College ones :)

she gives the best advice

she feels the EXACT same way about life that I do

i don't ever need to explain anything, she can read me like a book
we are foodies together. i am talking about sick amounts of food. 3 pound costco bags of sour patch kids, chinese food, cafe rio, Scandinavian days. we are champion eaters that rival Lorelei Gilmore* from our Gilmore Night. She was Lorelei and I was Rory. We made Sean be Luke and we set up a Luke's Diner. and yes we made Sean cook for us

we are the only ones that can talk sense into the other or calm each other down. katie reminds me to breath and mediate.
wingapo-namaste-shalom!
she is totally honest in a loving way

shares her boyfriends and let them be my best friend. i got all the benefits of having a bf without actually having to be in the relationship. i am talking about them taking both katie and i out to dinner, driving us places and always hanging out with his family
she is THE HARDEST WORKER

she makes doing nothing a total blast
we are both blue personalities!

up for crazy adventures

loves USU and logan. and i pretend to love it because she does

i love doing projects with her. like making a thousand puff balls for her sister's wedding or babysitting jane and gabe.

knows that we can grow individually without holding the other back. so supportive

makes me do scary things and feel great about being me

an amazing sister to her siblings

she is going to accomplish something great with her life

i love her so much. she is my rock. i can't thank her enough for all the laughs, memories, adventures, advice, hugs, inside jokes (smooth elbows!) and for her just being her!

xoxoxox
i heart you kaite bugs!

your definition of love

i don't know what love is.

but i know what it looks like.

love looks like those who gives their all to God and another, without knowing what all is.

*based
on a quote by President Eyring
these are my grandparents.
they are the perfect embodiment of a divine, eternal love.
they are my example and what i want to be.
a celestial love is possible.
they are proof of it.

ma mere

day 3: Mother

my mom is the absolute best. i don't even know exactly where to begin. there is so much i could say. she is my best friend. i was lucky enough to get her all to myself during my last 2 years of high school. these are the perks of being the youngest.

i love doing projects with her and running errands. i am her project buddy. i love our stupid inside jokes:
"abbey road mom. abbey road."
"would you like something to drink? perhaps some ham?"
"mom- isn't he dead?" (think james taylor)

she the most cultured, bright, hard working, creative and dedicated person i have ever met. i am always so proud when people ask me if she is my mom. everyone thinks she is wonderful and just out of this world amazing. she is a super hero! she does so much for others.

i love her sense of service. all her patients love her so much. she is so talented in a variety of areas. i am so grateful for when she helps me edit my papers and when she lets me fall asleep in her lap in sacrament.

everything i know and everything i love is because she taught me. she is the best example and a devoted disciple of the Lord. i owe everything to her. i love her more than i could ever express. i love you mom!

quirk

i have a habit of always wanting to dance down the aisles of any grocery store.

i think it started when mom would pick me up from ballet class when i was little and sometimes we would run errands after.

i would still be in tights, skirt and leotard. my favorite would be when we would go to the grocery store.
not only did i get a chocolate bar doughnut with sprinkles but as mom shopped i just followed along.
the floors were like the ones in the ballet studio and so i just would mindless start to practice whatever i learned in class that day.

my favorite is to practice toe drops, fouettes, pirouettes, and waltz turns.

and after years and years, i still do it without noticing sometimes. something about the grocery store inspires me to do ballet haha. people usually give me weird looks.

which makes sense. i am not a 4 year old in a cute pink ballet outfit dancing after her mom. now i am just a boring old college student shopping with room mates. haha.

maybe one day when i find a husband just as goofy as i am we can do this:
and then it will be cute again for me to dance in the grocery store.
